WATCH: Robert Plant Performs Kashmir Without Page for the First Time
By: Maura O'Malley
On Tuesday night, violinist Nigel Kennedy (and Friends) performed a gala concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall—the “and Friends” part being mostly classical musicians … and Robert Plant.
Plant sang the Led Zeppelin classic “Kashmir,” making this the first time he sang the song since Zeppelin’s 2007 reunion at the O2 Arena in London. Speaking of firsts, this was the first time Plant performed the song without Jimmy Page.
Lucky for us, writer and musician Brix Smith Start tweeted a bit of the performance. Catch it below!
I’ll just be over here in awe of Plant’s voice. He may have aged, but his voice sure didn’t.
