Einstein once said,
'The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.'
It is the poor who habitually elect Democrats ....yet they are still POOR.

"You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man     by inciting class hatred.
You cannot build character and courage     by taking away people's initiative and independence.
You cannot help people permanently by doing for them,     what they could and should do for themselves."

Larry Wilson, The Impact of Lack of Leadership
Larry, Capitalism is broken. It only works when EVERYONE is making a LIVING WAGE and EVERYONE pays their fair share of taxes. (The more money you make, the more taxes you pay) These are the rules. It does not work when the wages are so low that people work 60-70 hours a week and still cannot support their families and keep their homes, and the ones making all the money do not give back to the people who are making them rich, or to their country. The rules are not being followed, therefore, capitalism is not working. It has nothing to do with political parties, or who is in the position of leadership. They both are breaking the rules, along with big corporations, big banks and wall street. Now we have to either fix it or do something else. We do not want to be insane do we. We are the 99%.

Different Perspectives
Its interesting that the concept of taking from one group and giving to another, socialism, isn't working anywhere in the world, and the U.S. is the only place millions are trying to get to, but your perception that those who make the most should give a larger portion to those that make less. I would prefer to earn mine. But to each his or her own. I appreciate you taking the time to comment and to listen to Rock101. While I'm not pleased with the direction of the Democrats, I don't see anything to cheer about from the current "crop" of the Republicans. Different opinions are what make ALL of this interresting.
